Celebrate Christmas in style with us\, as we unite in the spirit of joy\, compassion\, and community. \nPERFORMERS \n\nBohdan Kirieiev\nBohdan Kirieiev is an Ukrainian classical singer (lyric baritone)\, Ukrainian Viennese Balls soloist and vocal teacher. Studied classical vocal performing at R. Glier Kyiv Municipal Academy of Music (master degree) in 2010-2020. Participated and won a lot of Ukrainian and international music competitions and festivals as Ukrainian Open Musical Olympiad “The Voice of the Country” in 2017 (the 1-st prize). Also Bohdan was performing with a popular Ukrainian opera diva Olena Hrebeniuk as a member of the classical crossover duet in 2019-2023. Bohdan Kirieiev got a National award for making and recording anthem of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine in 2022. Has a vocal teaching experience for more than 9 years.\nMariia Taranko\nMariia is a seasoned performer\, singer and vocal coach\, who teaches vocal mastery and public performance lessons at “THE VOICE MAGIC\,” Mariia’s vocal therapy studio.\nTetiana Cherneta\nTetiana Cherneta is a Doctor of Philosophy\, a bandura player and a vocalist\, a teacher\, a researcher\, a reviewer\, an expert of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation\, member of the jury and organizing committee of art competitions and festivals\, a member of the vocal ensemble “Rozmaria”\, the Associate Professor of Vocal Department at The Faculty of Music and Choreography of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University (2016-2023).\nTetiana and her family were forced to leave Kyiv at the beginning of March 2022 because of the war in Ukraine. She evacuated to Poland with her two sons (8 and 11 y.o.). Tetiana lived in Warsaw from March to August. She sang in the Cantoribus choir of St. Barbara’s Church\, conducted volunteer and concert activities for Ukrainian refugees.\nAlina Babenko\nAlina is a Ukrainian pianist and educator who brought her musical expertise to Canada 1.5 years ago. With a master’s degree from the Odessa Music Academy\, Alina boasts 12 years of experience as an accompanist for groups and soloists. Currently teaching at Alla Breve music academy\, she also lends her piano and keyboard skills to the Ukrainian group “Kviti” (Flowers)\, adding her unique touch to Canada’s musical landscape.\nYelyzaveta Bilivska\nYelyzaveta is a 15-year old soloist of the Pretenders vocal studio\, laureate of international competitions in Greece\, Italy\, Slovenia\, Great Britain.\nSergey Strakhov\nSergey is a talented pianist based in Mississauga\, known for his captivating performances as a key member of Jazz Plazma (jazzplazma.com). With a passion for music that extends beyond jazz\, Sergey has lent his musical prowess to various semi-professional bands\, leaving his mark in A Classics\, Jazz Inclusive\, and Happenstance Sound. He also writes his own songs.\nLiana\nLiana is a Canadian Ukrainian Singer.\nLucas Welschke\nLucas is a 9 year old aspiring Canadian actor\, musician and comedian. He’ll perform some of his own songs\, as well as festive Christmas songs at the event.\nStefaniia Bartkiv\n10-year old Ukrainian singer\n\nVOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES \n\nSorting Donations:\nAssist in organizing and sorting donated items\, ensuring a seamless and efficient distribution process.\n\n\nWelcoming Committee:\nExtend a warm greeting to attendees\, making them feel welcome and fostering a sense of community.\nFood and Drinks Assistance:\nMake coffee and tea\, and warm up more food when needed.\nResume Assistance:\nOffer valuable support to newcomers by assisting them with resume building and job search inquiries.
